Stuart Hunter, Managing Director of Clarion Gaming has confirmed the organisation’s ongoing support for CHIPS, the gaming industry charity which has raised over £3m to fund the purchase of wheelchairs for children with severe mobility issues.
At the annual CHIPS golf tournament involving three Clarion teams, Stuart Hunter said: “We are delighted to continue our longstanding relationship with Linda Lindsay and CHIPS’s team.
“We have presented two chairs to CHIPS recipients in each edition of ICE and this commitment will continue when ICE moves to Barcelona in 2025, although the physical handover takes place at a special VIP event close to home.”
He said, “Chips introduced an amazing 700 wheelchairs, a milestone that has changed the lives of so many children and their families. Everyone at Clarion Gaming is very proud to support such an amazing organization that was born in the land-based gaming sector and continues to do such a valuable and humble job.”
Linda Lindsay said, “On behalf of the charity and fellow trustees, we sincerely thank Stuart and Clarion Gaming for their continued and generous support.
“Chips wouldn’t have existed without the support of industry brands like Clarion Gaming, which allows us to give young people two gifts: independence and freedom.”
“We are proud to confirm that 100 percent of all donations are used to buy wheelchairs because the needs of our families have never been greater. No one related to CHIPS charges a penny. This is exactly the way it was.”
